NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Red Collar Pet Foods, a co-manufacturer born of Arbor Investments’ acquisition of Mars Petcare’s Exclusive Brands business, announced July 29 plans to expand its headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee to keep up with demand.
The pet food co-manufacturer will invest $3.65 million in the expansion, which will add 30 new jobs in the area over the course of five years.
Currently, Red Collar’s facility in Franklin supports six other facilities in the US and produces a variety of premium, private label dry dog and cat foods and treats. The Franklin facility currently employs 50 people.
The expansion is supported by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and Bob Rolfe, commissioner of the state’s department of economic and community development (TNECD).
“At Red Collar Pet Foods, we are excited to call Franklin our home! As Red Collar continues to grow and expand, we look forward to continuing to invest together in our associates and our business in Tennessee,” said Red Collar President and CEO Chris Hamilton.
Lee added, “Red Collar’s decision to expand its headquarters in Franklin showcases that Tennessee’s excellent business climate and talented workforce make it an ideal location for companies to do business.”
Red Collar acquired Hampshire Pet Products, a Joplin, Missouri-based co-manufacturer and leader in the baked and cold-formed pet treat space, in February 2019.
