EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Mike Tyson’s The Ranch Companies announced July 11 it has teamed up with Cesar Millan, a dog behavior specialist and TV personality, to develop a line of hemp-based pet treats with functional health benefits.

The treats will be formulated with pure hemp seed oil and CBD, as well as all-natural ingredients and added vitamins, according to Millan.

"With recent changes in legislation, CBD has gained popularity, and now people want to bring the benefits of this natural product to their pets," noted Steven Krane, president of Cesar Millan Pet Treats. "The hemp and CBD space continues to gain traction, and going forward, we can expect to see more natural, healthy products come to market to help improve the overall lives of our four-legged family members."

The joint venture will start with four products: Calming Soft Chews for reducing anxiety; Probiotic Soft Chews to aid digestion and support the immune system; Skin and Coat Soft Chews to “assist in preventing skin disorders;” and Support Soft Chews for to fortify joint and bone health. 

Each formula will include antioxidants, omega-6 and omega-3.

Rob Hickman, CEO of The Ranch Companies, said the partnership will help to fill out the business’s product mix, “continuing to set us apart from other cannabis companies.”

Millan added, "I am delighted to have established this partnership with the Ranch Companies and Mike Tyson. Their health is my number one priority, and this new line of pet treats will be a great addition to their diet."

The Ranch Companies is a diversified cannabis company founded by Tyson and Hickman. Millan has starred on reality television programs including The Dog Whisperer, Dog Nation and Cesar 911.
