SPRINGDALE, Ark. — Tyson Foods has released four clean label products under its True Chews and Nudges dog treat brands. This comes after major pet retailer Petco banned dog and cat foods and treats that include artificial colors, flavors or preservatives from its shelves in May 2019.
True Chews added Bacon Style and Pepperoni Style dog treats, as well as chicken and beef Meatball Recipe dog treats. The Bacon Style and Pepperoni Style treats are formulated with beef as the first ingredient and include no animal byproduct, artificial flavors or preservatives.
The brand’s new Meatball Recipe treats are formulated with US-sourced chicken and beef as the first ingredient.
Tyson’s Nudges brand added Premium Simply Sliced treats for dogs, available in chicken, pork or beef formulas. Each protein is sourced in the US, marinated and slow cooked without artificial ingredients.
Both Nudges and True Chews dog treat products feature animal protein as the first ingredient and are manufactured in the US using premium, all-natural ingredients.
