SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Cole Tautges joined Food Safety Net Services (FSNS) May 21 as its VP of chemistry operations. Tautges will be responsible for all facets of chemistry operations within FSNS.
Tautges previously worked with Covance overseeing methodologies including proximate chemistry, amino acids, sugars, fiber analysis and special projects in the company’s Nutritional Chemistry and Food Safety department. He most recently served as laboratory manager for Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD).
Tautges spearheaded development of the Reference Standard Services group, which detailed the validations, qualifications, certification, storage and distribution of standards and critical reagents.
“Tautges brings many years of valuable chemistry experience and management skills to our company,” said John Bellinger, CEO of FSNS. “We look forward to having Tautges develop the FSNS chemistry business into the best in North America.”
FSNS is an ISO 17025-accredited testing lab serving a number of industries, including pet food and animal feed. It operates 12 facilities across the US, including its headquarters in San Antonio.
