Pet Food Alliance (PFA) has announced its 2019 Summer Meeting will take place June 26-28, 2019 in Loveland, Colorado, directly following the Reciprocal Meat Conference at the Embassy Suites. Members of the pet food, rendering and meat industries are invited to attend and discuss challenges and opportunities across their industries.
A tentative schedule of the two-day conference includes discussions on key topics, such as oxidation, sustainability, changes in the export market and new food safety tools, as well as time for working groups to work through issues and identify opportunities for collaboration and growth.
A supplier reception is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, June 26, before the bulk of the conference takes place.
This year, registration fees will be charged for industry guests and 100% of those fees will fund initiatives identified by PFA’s working groups. FPRF members and companies registering more than one attendee will receive discounted registration rates, and members of academia can register for free.

PFA has been funded in large part by the Fats and Protein Research Foundation, whose mission is to fund research that helps ensure a strong future for the rendering industry and its industry partners.
This alliance for research and innovation in the pet food and rendering industries started with around 30 members and has grown to more than 100.
PFA was started at Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins, Colorado, in December 2017. Read more about the organization's Winter Meeting, hosted by CSU's Department of Animal Sciences in January 2019.
