BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Grocery delivery service Shipt will offer same-day delivery of Petco products, including pet food, health and grooming products, starting April 18. The service will be available through nearly 1,300 Petco stores in the US.

“At Shipt, we make shopping more convenient for our members by providing access to all their household and grocery needs, when they need it. We’re thrilled to now offer the same convenient service for every member of the family, including pets,” said Kelly Caruso, chief executive officer, Shipt.

The membership-based grocery deliver service can fulfill orders in as little as one hour.

“We’re thrilled to add Shipt same-day delivery as another option and a new way for pet lovers to shop our highly curated selection of high-quality pet products, including our own WholeHearted food for dogs and cats, and other Petco exclusive products that can’t be found anywhere else,” said Karmine Benaissa, VP and general manager of e-commerce for Petco.

Shipt delivers groceries and other household products nationwide through a digital application. It currently delivers products sold at H.E.B, Meijer, Target and CVS Pharmacy stores, but plans to expand to other retail partners and additional Target stores in 2019.
