SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. — Under the Weather will debut three new freeze-dried bland dog diets at Global Pet Expo 2019, each enhanced with a bone broth. The bone broth offers functional benefits such as joint health support, liver detoxification, digestive health support and immune system support. The company’s bland diets are formulated for sick or sensitive-stomached dogs.
The three new formulas include rice, chicken and bone broth; hamburger and bone broth; and rice, bison and bone broth. Each formula includes US-sourced ingredients, including cage-free chicken or grass-fed bison and beef processed in a USDA human-grade facility in Vermont, and are free from hormones and antibiotics. They are also free of artificial ingredients, by-product and gluten.
“Under the Weather is the leader in the freeze-dried bland diet niche,” said Kyla Sternlieb, founder and president of Under the Weather. “Last year we enhanced our line with electrolytes, and we’re very excited to be adding the powerful benefits of bone broth. We’re constantly looking for ways to give our pet retailers something new and exciting to offer their pet parent clientele. Now, in addition to the convenience of our freeze-dried bland diets, consumers will gravitate to the addition of bone broth, the benefits of which are widely accepted in human health.”
Under the Weather products aim to enhance digestive health. The company also formulates pet health supplements for cats and dogs. It was founded in 2015. Under the Weather will showcase its new products at booth 4770 during Global Pet Expo.
