OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — GivePet has partnered with Pet Food Experts to expand distribution to independent pet retailers in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Pacific Northwest United States. GivePet is a dog treat company based in Kansas that provides treats to shelter dogs with every bag purchased. According to the company’s website, each bag purchased by a consumer provides enough treats for at least 10 shelter dogs.

“We are thrilled to partner with an organization like Pet Food Experts, a fourth-generation family owned business with incredible values and dedication to independent pet specialty retailers,” said GivePet owner Chris Dennis. “GivePet is a family owned business that gives back to rescues. This partnership will give us the opportunity to provide millions of treats to rescue dogs across the United States.”

Pet Food Experts, based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, distributes to more than 4,000 retailers in 32 states. It operates five distribution centers in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Washington and Colorado.
