With the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) just around the corner, Trouw Nutrition has released how the company will be involved in the trade show Feb. 12-14, 2019.

Trouw will perform live demonstrations of its modular precision feeding system, NutriOpt, in booth A923 during IPPE. The system uses near infrared spectroscopy (NIR) technology to scan animal feed and compare values and calculations in extensive nutritional databases.

Dr. Hugo Romero Sanchez, NutriOpt Poultry Nutrition Manager for Trouw, will host a discussion in Spanish on NIR technology, modeling and nonlinear formulation in his breakout session, “Advancements in Broiler Nutrition.” The session will take place Feb. 11 from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. in the Thomas Murphy Ballroom Section 2/3. Sanchez is an industry veteran of 25 years. “This presentation explores the practical combination of nutrition and feeding programs to reach the genetic potential of the modern broiler, maintaining sustainability and profitability,” he said.

Members of the Trouw Nutrition Companion Animal Division will also attend the Pet Food Conference on Feb. 12. Trouw is a sponsor of the conference, which will cover a wide variety of topics in the pet food processing industry.

Aside from these highlights, Trouw Nutrition will provide information in its booth on the Salmonella Control Program, The Poultry Gut Health Program, trace minerals and more.
