PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Pet Food Experts has added freezer capacity to its Des Plaines, Illinois distribution center. Midwest retailers can now purchase frozen pet food products from four brands through Pet Food Experts, including Vital Essentials, Open Farm, Nature’s Logic and Green Juju.

Vital Essentials, based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, produces raw and freeze-dried pet food, snacks and treats using USDA-inspected meat sourced and packaged in the US. Open Farm was founded in 2013 and uses raw, organic, grass-fed kefir in its formulas, which promotes healthy digestion, skin and immune function in cats and dogs. Nature’s Logic produces pet food free from synthetic supplements and was founded in 2005. Green Juju produces a whole foods supplement for dogs, which contains organic, locally grown ingredients.

Pet Food Experts is a family-owned wholesale distributor based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. It operates five distribution centers across the US, which serve more than 4,000 retailers across 32 states.
