The 2020 AFIA Pet Food Conference will highlight student research, present a new award and discuss a variety of challenges faced by the industry today.

The organization is accepting applications from students wishing to present their research during the conference.

The organization will take nominations for the new award through Sept. 26, 2019.

The new modular design addresses challenges in the feed and food processing industries, including food safety and overall cost.

The supplier will participate in the Pet Food Conference and host a breakout session on broiler nutrition during the event.

Reiser, Rice Lake Weighing Systems and Schenck Process are among equipment suppliers to exhibit at International Production & Processing Expo 2019.

The 2019 expo, which is set at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta Feb. 12-14, offers a number of free educational programs for attendees.

In 2018, the trade show attracted 1,216 exhibitors, compared to 1,315 expected in 2019.
